Help! My baby has colic

Baby colic or also known as “kabag” is a common condition for infants that a mother should be aware of. It is a stomach gas – the air that is usually swallowed when feeding and crying.

I remember the time when my baby is very fussy and cry out loud continuously. I am so confused on what to do. I tried to give her milk but she don’t want. I carry her in different position but still she keeps on crying.

My mother-in-law came to rush to check my baby. She saw that the tummy of my baby is a bit prominent. She put her left finger to the top of my baby’s tummy and lightly strike her left finger by her right finger and hear a drum sound. She said that this is one of a sign that my baby has colic. So she rub my baby’s tummy with Chamomile Oil (Aceite de Manzanilla) and let my baby lay on her back (“Nakadapa”). As my baby keep on burping and farting colic reduces. Afterwards, I’m so happy to see my baby sleep very well.

In addition, I changed my baby’s feeding bottle to anti-colic baby bottle specifically Avent. Quite expensive baby bottle but worth-it because on that time onwards, my baby never experience colic again. Of course I am not concluding that it’s all because of the feeding bottle. Proper burping after feeding the baby can also help lessen baby’s colic.

The best milk formula for newborn baby who is prone to allergy

Almost all of the expectant mother’s go through questioning if when the milk would come out from the breast. Is it few days before delivery, during the delivery or few days after the delivery? If so, do milk supply is enough to feed the baby? And I am not exempted to this “common questions”.

I have my normal baby girl delivery at Davao Doctor’s Hospital – Davao City and I am not so lucky enough to have my milk immediately after delivery. Davao Doc is a pro-breastfeeding hospital so they really want me to let my baby latch so that eventually milk would come out. But I still don’t have milk that time. They ask me to buy breast pump to stimulate the production of milk but still not lucky enough to have. I almost panic during the time they deliver my baby to my room because I don’t know what to feed her. And I ask some of the residence doctor and nurse if they could recommend any formula milk for my baby. But they only advise me to just let my baby suck to my breast because eventually milk would come out and they are not allowed to recommend any formula milk inside the hospital premises. Fortunately my sister-in-law who is currently breastfeeding her daughter visited me. So I ask her to feed my baby and ask some milk to be kept inside the freezer. I was temporary relieved because of that, however my sister-in-law is not always there, so she can only pump limited milk supply.

I cannot just simple buy milk in the grocery because I heard that some milk might cause allergy to the baby so I keep on waiting for my baby’s pediatrician to visit us. Apparently My OB-Gyne visited me first so I ask her if she could recommend a good newborn formula milk. During that time my OB is also nursing a baby and she told me that we have the same situation when the time she deliver her baby. And that she is using Nestle NAN HW One Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Infant Formula. She said that the milk is good for baby who might have allergy to milk product especially if you have family history allergies. And for me to easily prepare the milk she advise me to buy Dr. Edwards Sterilized Drinking water with white cap. So my hubby immediately buy the NAN HW One, Dr. Edwards and a baby bottle. He sterilized first the baby bottle by putting boiled water and leave it for 5 minutes.

The concern nurse saw us feeding the baby in the baby bottle and she told me that it’s better if we use the syringe in feeding the baby while I’m still waiting for my breast milk to come out because according to her if my baby is used to feeding bottle then the baby will not latch to my breast and choose to be feed in the feeding bottle. But I did not listen.

After 3 days, I’m so happy because my breast milk come out and it’s leaking. I carry my baby and let her latch on my nipple but she keep on crying and crying and don’t want to latch. So I prepare it in the baby bottle, she immediately latch it. So right now, what I usually do is to pump my breast milk and put it inside the baby bottle so that she can still drink breast milk. But this routine is so tiring and when I do the breast pump I remember the nurse advise to me.

So for those mother’s to be, careful in letting your baby latch the baby feeding bottle immediately for they will be acquainted to it. And I would recommend that the best milk formula for newborn baby who is prone to allergy is NAN HW One Hydrolyzed Whey Protein Infant Formula because my baby is doing well with the milk. But of course as everybody keeps on saying: I still believed that breast milk is best for babies.

They showcase different mommy and baby products and services. They also have entertaining and informative activities on-stage with guest doctor’s expert in each field.

Upon entering the area, you will be ask to register and your name will be added to the raffle entry for a chance to win exciting prizes. Mom’s will not be worried bringing there children while thinking about viewing the displayed products and services for there’s a play location in the event wherein they can temporarily leave there children.

Ad-for online business is spreading right now in Davao City. I was once invited to the business and my friend keeps on calling me regarding the networking business of ad-for. So I do research about the company.

Mayor Sarah Duterte of Davao City punch the Sheriff:

An immediate demolition at Brgy. Soliman Agdao Davao City caused Mayor Sarah Duterte of Davao City to be upset. Mayor Sarah is from Matina Davao City flood victims so she ask for a 2 hour deferment so that she can talk to the residents. But the sheriff did not listen and continue the demolition thus create riot among the police, residents & demolition team. Mayor Sarah Duterte was not able to control her temper and punch Sheriff Abe Andes of Davao RTC branch when she arrived. She said, She is responsible if something will happen to the people.
